Changement climatique et diminution de la ressource en eau, Une étude de la vulnérabilité des exploitants agricoles en Roussillon

Abstract : This article offers a contribution to the analysis of the vulnerability of farmers faced with the risk of diminishing water resources in the context of climate change. The study focuses on a set of small agricultural regions of Roussillon, delimited by the Têt watershed, and characterized by original forms of organization of the agrarian system and mobilization of agricultural water. By means of an empirical survey, carried out among 27 farmers whose data were processed using textual analysis software, the analysis considers the situations of vulnerability of farmers based on their experience of climatic hazard and the solutions adopted to reduce its effects. It then describes the mechanisms for building adaptation strategies to the risk of decreasing water resources. The results of the geographic analysis show that the logics of action are differentiated and that the reduction of climate vulnerability comes from territorialized strategies.
